Letter of Community Commitment
To My Community:
Building an interconnected, economically-vibrant city and community requires strategic and intentional behavior. We must lead by example, showing the businesses around us that we value their innovation and that we show up to support the flourishing future of this city.
My organization commits to spending a minimum of 10% of our food and beverage purchasing to small businesses; and 50% of these businesses will be women- and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color)-owned businesses.
I acknowledge that by signing this Letter of Community Commitment, Cureate will hold me accountable to my purchasing power in the following ways:
Providing a certification logo and decal to display on our website and/or storefront so that you, as our loyal community and customer, know to ask us about how we’re spending our money and with whom.
If we do not have a person on-staff dedicated to local purchasing, Cureate may act as our local purchasing arm in order to facilitate connections and track our spend year-over-year.
We will continue to use our platforms to uplift our Vendor partners, showcasing the interconnectedness of our supply chain and how we are shifting the dollar back into our local economies.
Every dollar we spend has power. We are here to use that purchasing power to create mindful and long-lasting change to the economic landscape of our community and our great state.
Sincerely,
